Message 2009 from the President.

Dear Friends,

It is great to be here again.

Half a year has passed and very soon we will be meeting again. This year CNG will be holding a healing seminar to coincide with the AGM which will be held in Tawau. We have chosen the Theme .Towards Spiritual Formation for Nurses for this year. This is timely as I believe that we need to be healed and revitalized Spiritually to be able to meet the challenge of our profession.

I would like to quote Fr. Joseph Joblin s.j. Professor of Gregorian University, Vatican Rome in his article on  Christian Witnessing and the Health care profession,

..Quote-  The future role of the Catholic Professional organization is conditioned by techniques, ethics and politics, we have to be professionally qualified and show a high moral sensitivity in order to influence the future of their profession. The more qualified we are, the more responsibility we have in the care of the patients . The role then of our organization is for the faithful to gather in associations  in order to protect the observance of our faith in our professional life. We must understand and support the existence of Catholic professional organizations..

..Unquote.

This year has been a fruitful year, with Nurses Day being celebrated with Mass throughout the country. I thank the Priests and Bishops for being very supportive. We have also conducted a workshop on the Vision and Mission of the CNG in Kota Kinabalu. The result of this workshop will be presented during the AGM in Tawau 2009.

We also remember with sadness the passing of our dear Sr. Lourdes Pitchaimuthu, the chairman of the CNG group in Malacca, Mary Hendrix also of Malacca, Ms Mary Choong - past president ( 1972 - 1974) of Kuala Lumpur. We fondly remember them in our prayers. They have been our role models let us continue to emulate them.

The group in Tawau is now busy with the preparation for this coming AGM/ Seminar, let us remember them in our prayers.

Till then I hope to see all of you in Tawau.

 God Bless.

Looking forward to see you there.

 God Bless You.

Yours Truly,

Francisca Malantin
